New Orleans Wedding Photography | Kristin and Eric at Broussards
Kristin and Eric are hitched, y’all! Their day was so awesome. They were a close-knit group with lots of wild and crazy and fun friends to help them celebrate (and also drink alllll of the alcohol). A lot of times, the getting-ready portion of the day is one of my favorites. And the Chateau LeMoyne was a beautiful backdrop for the girls’ getting ready, with an awesome courtyard for their emotional first look!
After everyone was all dressed up and ready to go, we headed over to Broussard’s of New Orleans for their ceremony.
Small confession – I’m always just a tiny bit hopeful that people cry at weddings. Okay, fine – not a tiny bit…a lot. I’m a lot hopeful, okay? I love happy tears, and Kristin delivered! The emotional photo of her hugging her dad as he gave her away was magic, seriously. Photos like that matter, guys – and they’re always my favorite!
Kristin and Eric’s second line was SO much fun. One would think that running around like a maniac in the streets of the French Quarter with a ton of heavy camera gear would be tiring, (and you’d be right, really) but ask me if I care. The drunken balcony-dwellers twirling beads, random kids feeding candy to members of the brass band, and bridesmaids making excited lunges for beads thrown from on high…there’s absolutely no place in the world for a party like New Orleans. The whole city celebrates your wedding with you, and it’s just magic. I had my great friends Tyler Wirken and Marissa Wells with me, who were experiencing a second line for the first time – and this crew introduced them to New Orleans the right way!
After that epic second line, we headed back to Broussard’s for the reception. There was a cupcake cake, funny speeches, and lots and LOTS of dancing. I loved how Eric just couldn’t keep his hands off of Kristin – a lot of times during busy wedding receptions, the bride and groom rarely see one another or interact much after their first dance, but not so with these two! They were little lovebirds all night! <3
Okay, enough talking from me – go look at how awesome these guys were!
