I have an awesome wedding for you guys tonight. I love downtown Baton Rouge Wedding Photography, and Mallory and Alex’s wedding at the City Club of Baton Rouge was such a wonderful experience. The girls got ready at the Hilton Downtown, and the boys had some fun on the upper floors of the City Club. The ceremony and reception were so well thought out. Every detail was perfect for these two wonderful people.
Speaking of friends and family – I often talk about how a wedding day is all about the people in it, and not so much about the “stuff”. Mallory and Alex were surrounded by some wonderful people all day long. They all made for some great images with the two of them. The ceremony was made extra sweet when Mallory and Alex both gifted each others daughters with special necklaces declaring their promises to always be there for them. How wonderful is that? The girls are only one month apart in age, and they were the best of friends all day long – it was so cute.
At the reception, I am not kidding when I say I’ve never had a father of the bride who tore up the dance floor quite like Mallory’s dad did! It was so fun, watching the whole crew have such a blast, all night long. Check out some of my favs from this incredible day!
The littlest girls get ready – I loved seeing how excited Alex’s daughter was for Mallory to see her fancy hair!
A really sweet, fun group of girls, supporting Mallory all day long!
Emotions run high on a wedding day, but Mallory had no shortage of support from her girls!
A sweet mother daughter moment. <3
Mallory’s dress, all ready to go!
There are three kinds of drinkers, I am told…the varying degrees of OJ to alcohol ratio in these drinks was pretty funny. 😉
Makeup by the uber-talented Taylor Anderson!
Mallory’s family apparently has a thing for sweet potato fries. Mallory’s mom may or may not have been a tad preoccupied with her room service order. 😉
A little last minute face timing!
Look at that beautiful face! <3
Hair by the talented Jessica Richard at SOHO Salon!
I love getting a nice portrait of Mom on a wedding day. This is where Mallory gets that stunning beauty from, folks!
The boys – cutting up just a little bit. 😉
A little rock, paper scissors on the way to the ceremony
Love this sweet moment between these girls. <3
Most supportive group of girls ever!
The looks between these two! <3
The preacher had the parents–and the girls–bless the rings before Mallory and Alex exchanged them. So sweet!
The necklace gifting!
Bustling when you don’t have your glasses on is hard! 😉
Alex’s mom *may* have gotten a tad bit emotional during their dance!
She was so patient, waiting for the cake to be cut. Or at least she acted like it. 😉
PS – this is exactly the way that *I* look at cake, kid.
These two crazy kids, right here… <3
Checking out the new bling!
It’s possible that the bouquet toss was rigged. Maybe. But I’ll never tell.
A sparkler exit to end the night!
