New Orleans Wedding Photography Pharmacy Museum Sam And Ollie
My name is Cyd, and sometimes I cry at weddings.
Okay, fine, I cry at weddings more than sometimes, but how could you not at this one? Sam and Ollie are absolutely wonderful people – the kind of people who instantly become friends upon meeting them. PLUS, all of THEIR friends are equally wonderful, so I spent pretty much the whole day alternating between smiling and crying. Their day was one out of my dreams – held at the historic New Orleans Pharmacy Museum, every single detail was perfect, and their day was FULL of moments.
There were tons of details about their day that set it apart and made it their very own – from having their dog be their ring bearer, to walking one another down the aisle–and can we talk about how they shared their first dance with all of their gay, lesbian and transgender friends? I will always remember standing in a sea of love on that dance floor, wondering why everyone was so blurry because I am not crying, I am not crying.
It was a magical, wonderful, love-filled day which I will never forget. Here are a few of my favorites!
Sam gets a good luck kiss from his dog.
Waiting patiently for her dads to get ready
Fun with camera-weilding friends
Loved their dog’s rainbow leash!
Uber-ing to the ceremony!
One last drink with friends before walking down the aisle
Last kiss as singles!
Love, LOVE that they walked each other down the aisle. <3
The wave of crying began when Sam and Ollie’s friend read from the supreme court ruling legalizing same sex marriage. So moving!
Wave #2 of tears – when I looked around and saw that all of the couples in the audience were just as in love as Sam and Ollie. They held hands for the entire ceremony!
Sam’s not crying. Sam never cries. Right?!
Okay, seriously – could everyone do sparklers this way, please and thank you? Sparklers were waiting for guests on their chairs, along with programs, and they were invited to light them at the end of the ceremony for a sparkler tunnel. A SPARKLER TUNNEL, FOLKS.
Be still my heart! This was not staged, people. They were really this in love.
Never in my life have I seen two people so freaking happy
First dance with all of their gay, lesbian and transgender friends.
Sam and Ollie’s college friends sereneded them with a song they wrote!
Seriously, could anything about this wedding be any cooler? Their guests typed notes to them on a vintage typewriter!
