Y’alllllllll.
You can’t imagine how hard it was for me to hold onto these photos and wait to share them with you until after the wedding. I took Stephanie’s bridal photos at White Oak Plantation and Rosedown Plantation. both locations were insanely gorgeous. As was Stephanie, because holy cow, just look at her! I doubt this girl could look bad if she tried. She was on point for her bridal session–seriously. Her hair and makeup was done by Tasha Peschier, and her beautiful dress came from Deshotel’s Dress Shoppe – with a custom belt she added herself!
Beautiful and crafty. I’d resent her just a little bit, but she’s way too sweet for that, so I had to settle for envious.
Anyway, Stephanie was everything I love in a bride. Relaxed and lovely and up for whatever ideas I wanted to throw at her. It was glorious.
She rented a vintage couch from Roses and Lace. They did a great job hauling it out to White Oak to set it up in juuuuuust the perfect spot (which took a bit of time to select, let me tell you). We got some killer shots there. Then we moved onto Rosedown to snag the shots Stephanie wanted with all of the dramatic, dripping Spanish moss that’s so Louisiana.
I almost teared up just a little bit when Stephanie pulled out a sign she had made (she made it, folks) for her dad to take a special photo just for him. To remind him that she’s forever Daddy’s girl. HOW SWEET IS THAT, SERIOUSLY?
My amazing assistant Chelsea helped me juggle step ladders and equipment and bustles, and it was all just perfect.
And then I got home and worked on the images. And, you know, died just a little bit inside when I calculated just how long I’d have to wait to post these.
But the good news is that it’s finally time! So sit back and get your mouse-wheel-scrolling finger ready, because it was impossible to narrow down these images to a reasonable number for posting. You’re just going to have to enjoy as short a number as I could come up with!
