As much as I *love* getting portraits done on a Wedding Photography day, I’ll be honest. There’s not always a lot of time to get them done. That sounds a little ridiculous. I know, because it *feels* like you’re taking photos all day long. But in reality, you’re usually trying to cram couples’ photos into the last five minutes of Portrait Time that the church lady has alloted you. While simultaneously running late for your reception. Most couples don’t see one another before the ceremony. So that cuts out half of your day right there. And after that, things are usually a whirlwind of travel to the reception, announcements, dances, toasts, and all of the other Things-To-Do-On-Your-Wedding-Day.
Enter the “Day After” session. This is a time to get all dressed up again and actually take our time getting some nice, natural, people-aren’t-wanting-to-chat-every-five-seconds portraits. Just the two of you. We can have fun with it. Try all kinds of things we didn’t have time to try in the chaos of the wedding day.
I was so excited when Whitney and Brad wanted to do one of these Wedding Photography sessions with me. We went back to their wedding venues, The Old Governor’s Mansion and Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church, and had some fun! Their images came out to be absolutely gorgeous – just like them. <3
Here are a few of the ones I had a terribly difficult time narrowing things down to. 😉
