This wedding at The Venue Hall in St. Amant is going to go down as one of my favorites. For real.
Weddings are all about the people in them, for me. When I’m photographing, I’m always thinking about the story I’m telling. Not just for the people in the images, but also for the family to come. When these guys are old and grey, what will their wedding images say about who they were, to their children? A wedding is a new family’s beginning – the first chapter in a book that’s just beginning. As a wedding photographer, I do not take my job lightly – it’s an honor to document these moments for my clients.
And these guys gave me some moments, y’all. I knew when I first met with them that their day was going to be an absolute blast. AND I WAS NOT WRONG. From the funny, to the sweet, to the tears–this day had it all.
We started the day at The Refuge Salon, where the girls there did a great job with the wedding party’s hair. The guys had the easy part (that did not start at 9am, for the record), getting their suit-and-tie routine on at their hotel. From there, it was onto The Venue Hall for the real party!
Julia and Austin are two of those kids that you meet and just immediately know that their parents raised them right. You know?
They weren’t just loving with one another, they also truly treasured everyone around them this day. And on a wedding day, when things are stressful – that’s impressive. They were full of joy, and fun, and gratitude for all of the hard work those around them put into their big day.
I’m so privileged to have been able to create some great images with this family on this wedding day!
