Downtown Baton Rouge engagement photos are some of my very favs! No less than when I get to spend the session time hanging with people like these two.
Lea-Ann is one of those people whom you meet and just instantly know you’re gonna love. I think she solidified herself as a part of my tribe from the first words out of her mouth (about her dogs!).
You know those crazy cat lady people? Well…don’t tell anyone, but that’s kinda me. Except with dogs. So, any time I meet anyone who loves their dogs just as much as I do, we will be friends.
There’s no escaping it, really.
Lea-Ann and I just “got” one another on so many levels, when we first chatted – so I was so excited to finally get the chance to work with her and meet the man lucky enough to put a ring on it!
We chose downtown Baton Rouge for their engagement session location. It’s a really versatile location with–as you can see below–some KILLER sunsets!
The thing about great locations, though, is that they only go so far in making your engagement photos great.
What really matters is the people in them.
Just like my first experience with Lea-Ann, Ryan was an instant hit with me. My kind of guy, that one – he was funny, and sweet to his girl, and did not take himself at all too seriously! Add the fact that he’s also a dog lover, and we were a perfect trifecta.
We had a lot of fun taking these images together. I love that these two were up for anything with me, and their trust in me really shows in the finished product. I think we got photographs that really capture their relationship and personalities–as well as their love of life. Add to that a little artistic flair, and these photographs are going to look great on the walls of their home!
