As a wedding photographer in Gonzales, I’m lucky to be able to photograph some of the best couples in the parish. AND at some of the best venues! I’m always thrilled to photograph at Elegant Affairs – and even more-so when I get to photograph wonderful couples like April and William.
Family means so much to these two, so their wedding day was a perfect opportunity to document the relationships they have with those closest to them as they tied the knot!
As always, the theme of #KidsAtWeddings did not disappoint.
April’s little girl Jade was an absolute BLAST to photograph, along with her cousins.
The getting-ready portion of the day is on that couples often wonder about whether they should skip. (Tip: here’s why it’s really important!) But this wedding made for some really good examples of why you really need it! It’s often one of the most fun parts of the wedding day. We get some of our best, most relaxed images at this time of the day, before things start getting stressful and fast-paced.
One of the reasons I love photographing in Gonzales at Elegant Affairs is that the venue does such a great job with things. They keep things running smoothly. And, with both the ceremony and reception happening all at the same place, April and William had that much extra time to enjoy their day. No stressing about details!
After getting ready at The Renaissance Hotel, it was time to get the show rolling, put on the dress, and get ready to walk down the aisle!
The ceremony was perfect, and we had some great music and (very) energetic kids to start tearing up the dance floor for the reception. We got some great images that really communicated the love that these two had for each other, and that their friends and family had for them!
