Ashley Manor Wedding Photographer | Chris and Will
Chris and Will’s wedding at Ashley Manor in Baton Rouge was all of my favorite things, y’all. It was sweet, and elegant, and meaningful. It was low-stress, and high-fun, and filled with all of the most important things, on a wedding day.
They had amazing little details that were all about them–and not done “just because.”
It’s SO important to make your wedding day unique to you. In the end, it’s the things that are different about you that really tell your story. And y’all know that I’m all about that!
I love that Chris and Will were both just overjoyed to get MARRIED on this day. There was none of the stress and anxiety that can creep up on you when you’re preoccupied with the “details” of the day.
These two had two priorities:
- Get married
- Party!
We accomplished both in fantastically joyful fashion, as you can see.
I love the drastic light that we can get, photographically, in the Ashley Manor barn. Chris’ entrance as she walked down the aisle was so much fun to capture! The excitement on her face as she saw Will for the first time was magical – and those awesome lights in the barn just added to the drama of the moment.
I am a happy girl when I find me some dramatic light!
Their ceremony was emotional, and so sweet–with wonderful, meaningful details to honor Chris’ father who had passed away.
The reception was a blast, as expected! I couldn’t get over all of the funny faces Will was making to get his girl to light up with laughter. Laughter is one of my favorite things to capture on a wedding day… and Will gave me plenty of material to work with, for sure!
Special thanks to Complete DJ for keeping the party going (keep an eye out for them in some funny photos!), Cake That for the incredible cake, and Ashley Manor for the amazing venue and coordination. It takes a village to make a day go off without a hitch!
How cool is this comic book poster of the couple?!
Getting great photos of your loved ones that communicate how happy they are for you on your wedding day is a wonderful thing!
Another great reason to have a second photographer on your wedding day. We were able to get two unique angles for photos of this first dance! Look for me being a creeper, up on the balcony. 😂
Um, having a nacho bar at your wedding reception is a GREAT idea!
