City Park Sunset Engagement Photos | David and Lauren
As iconic southern engagement photo sessions go…David and Lauren kinda set the bar, with this one!
Even though it was a hot, humid evening here in New Orleans City Park for these engagement photos, these two knocked it out of the park. You’d never guess this was photographed deep in the month of August! BUT, that just goes to show that when you’re hella in love and in one of the most amazing cities in the world… you kinda can’t take a bad photo!
Normally, when people want to photograph in City Park, I suggest an early morning time slot. As close to dawn as we can get it, really! It cuts down on both the heat index, and the crowds. And, while morning light is fantastic (like in THIS SESSION), I gotta give David this one. He really wanted to photograph at sunset, and it definitely worked out fantastically!
I love that we not only got that beautiful sunset glow for our photos together, but were also able to capture the glowing neon sign of Cafe du Monde for a few cool images, as well.
It’s always a goal of mine for every photo session to try to get at least one out-of-the-box, memorable photo that isn’t what you see from every other photographer out there.
I think that our Cafe du Monde images definitely accomplished this goal! It’s so much fun to have photos from your engagement session that doesn’t just show you guys looking pretty. You should ALSO make some cool memories, while you’re at it!
We made some of my very favorite photos during this City Park sunset engagement photo session – and I couldn’t wait to show them off! From the dripping southern oaks, covered with spanish moss, to the fairy-tale stone bridge, right down to beignets at Cafe du Monde… check out a few of my favs!
