These. Two.
These two right here are my people. Nikki and I have been talking about getting her Grayton Beach Wedding Photography for what seems like forever, and the day finally arrived!
I talk a lot about what matters most on a wedding day, and I love that Nikki and Brad’s wedding checked absolutely every tick-mark on my list. They had the best, most fun friends and family; got married in a place that means a lot to them, and they had a ton of real moments happening all day long. They laughed, they handled last-second plan changes with ease, they sweated (Narrator Voice: We all sweated), and overall just had a kick-ass night. It was their night – the beginning of their story together, told their way.
The very best kind of magic. <3
Venue: Grayton Beach
Reception: The Red Bar
This view, tho…
If there was any doubt that Nikki is part of my tribe, this cake topper took care of that.
A non-traditional dress shot!
I love when my passion for documentary family photography and wedding photography meet. This bathing-the-flower-girl-cuz-she-was-covered-in-sand situation made me so happy!
The cake hand-off – those doberge cakes were no joke, y’all.
In Louisiana, we familiarize our children with red solo cups from an early age. ‘Tis what we do.
PAY ATTENTION TO THIS PHOTO, FOLKS. One of the things that I love documenting most is the little habits that are passed from parent to child, often unknowingly. Izzy did this early in the day, and her mom did this EXACT motion later in the day, during the ceremony, too. MY HEART! <3
Yeah, so this is kind of The Izzy Blog. She was hilarious, and I’m not sorry.
I believe her exact words were, “Excuse me. Can anyone tell me why there’s a palm tree in this room?”
It’s not a totally ridiculous question, if I’m honest.
The life of a mom – the TV never goes off of cartoons. Ever.
The big dress reveal!
The “looks” on these two…. #CantGetEnough
You probably had to be there, but…this pool alarm was the star of the show this weekend. Adults are not that much less susceptible than kids to not operating this thing correctly.
This is a sports family. Ergo, lots of sports-ing this day.
When your brother’s wedding day is on Auburn vs LSU game day.
See that man way in the distance? That’s Brad, texting Nikki to not be late. Ha!
We had an umbrella casualty.
The best kind of bridal aisle-walk at this Grayton Beach Wedding Photography
This flamingo was a gift from the photo-gods.
DO YOU SEE THAT FINGER?! Like mother, like daughter.
I love getting parent reaction shots during the ceremony!
I love that she’s reflected in his glasses!
WE DID IT (and also, can we go somewhere less sweaty, now?)
I may be a little bit obsessed with silhouettes on the beach. We got sunset ones too, swearsies.
This face…it’s my favorite.
Hob-nobbing at The Red Bar.
When you wanna do a prom pose, but you can’t keep from laughing.
Life should always be lived with this much joy (and this much total lack of care of what other people think!)
Well, of course we had to make a cool red portrait at The Red Bar. Plus, bonus points = CHEWBACCA!
