This was my first time shooting a bridal photography session at The Carriage House in Gonzales. What a great venue! The Carriage house is located in Ascension Parish, and is just the right mix of classy and cozy. I chatted with the manager as we made our way around, and she was so accommodating. I really enjoy working with other small business owners who take pride in what they do!
We started out photographing indoors. We utilized the staircase first, and then moved on to the ballroom itself. How killer are these shots utilizing the lighting present?! I’m a sucker for a dramatic, artistic shot. We took full advantage of the opportunity and got some images totally unique to the venue, which will help Courtney remember what it felt like for years.
We then moved to the outdoors to take advantage of the gorgeous gardens, string-lit gazebo, and stunning sunset. Some of these photographs are so quintessential “Louisiana”! Adding Courtney’s rosary beads into her bouquet shots was another great way to really personalize the session, and make sure it was memorable and significant to her.
Before the mosquitoes carried us away, we decided to get a few last shots in front of the fountain on the back porch. I love the dramatic silhouette we captured just as dusk was setting in!
This was one of those bridal sessions where everything was just perfect. We got some stunning bridal images both inside and out – I may or may not have developed a small obsession with string lights. <3
I’m so excited to be photographing this chick’s wedding and watching her become a Mrs. soon!
