Gonzales Wedding Photography at St Theresa and The Carriage House
Some people in this world just give you that feeling. The one where you feel like your life is better for having known them. You know what I mean? I got that feeling from Courtney from the very second I first met her. And it carried over to all of her friends and family that I met on the wedding day, unsurprisingly. Her now-husband Billy was the same way. From the second we all met, this whole crew just felt like family, all day long.
I mean, this chick sent me selfies from their honeymoon in Universal Studios, of them drinking Butterbeer, after I told her they should have one for me (I MISS BUTTERBEER SO HARD, TAKE ME BACK TO UNIVERSAL). How does it ever get better than people like that?!
What a way to spend a Friday night, this was. The whole day was perfect in every way. Fun, and relaxed, and sweet, and meaningful…exactly how weddings should be, really.  We had SO many great moments with this crew. And the images we made together are going to be some of my very favorites for a long, long time.
Congratulations, Courtney and Billy. You rocked this day. <3
Courtney’s dad…I loved this guy. He felt like my own dad, seconds into the day. And I don’t know if I’ve ever seen a man, love his baby girl so hard!
I love this image! This smile is so “Courtney”. She was just so happy and joyful, all day long.
When your mom is so teeny tiny that you have to squat, in heels, for her to put your necklace on. And there may or may not have been a tiny balancing problem. 😉
Fun family traditions! Courtney’s mom’s father put a dime in her shoe on her wedding day – and this is the same dime, passed down. Why it’s a dime and not a penny, no one really knew…but that makes it an even better story!
I love that William killed time by playing Wii in the hotel room – #boythings
I love this moment between Billy and his sweet mom. <3
What last minute nerves?
One of my favorite mom of all of the moms, right here. For this photo among so many others!
These. Two. Right. Here. This is what it’s all about, folks.
This look – this look right here wins.
I’m pretty sure these looks are exchanged between these two pretty much on the daily.
Just a dad, looking at his baby girl on her wedding day…and patiently holding her flowers. <3
Taking a moment for themselves – the quiet before the chaos.
That, folks, is a tear in Billy’s eye. Don’t let anyone convince you differently. 😉
Last-minute moments between parents and their babies. <3
Courtney just notices people. In whatever situation she’s in, she’s a noticer. Even walking down the aisle, she was thinking of her dad and his emotions while preparing to give her away.
THE LOOKS THESE TWO GAVE EACH OTHER. I couldn’t get enough, all day. They were so in love, and so wrapped up in one another and the joy of starting their life together. It was magic, I tell you.
Parental tears = always gets me
I promised they looked away from one another. Once or twice, at least. 😉
Little bro with the thumbs up!
I call this the “We really did it” look!
I don’t usually put family portraits in the blog, but…this one necessitated an exception!
There’s tear glistening on that cheek, folks. <3
Courtney TOTALLY caught me trying to be sneaky and photographing them in the photo booth. I love this! <3
This last garter toss image cracked me up. “What just happened?!”
What a fitting image to end the blog – Courtney’s mom was SUCH a character, with her disposable camera! Can I adopt this woman?!
