Wedding Emergency Kit For The Bride

The Essentials:
  • VOWS, if you’re writing them (maybe two copies, to be safe)
  • Deodorant
  • Blotting sheets – the oil-control struggle is real.
  • Hairspray – Can you even have enough on your wedding day?
  • Crochet hook – If you have buttons on your dress, this makes things much easier!
  • Tissues (‘cuz tears, and a lot of other reasons)
  • Bobby pins – I have owned a million bobby pins in my life, and can only currently locate about ten. Trust me, you need more.
  • Travel sewing kit – everything you need to save the day when something rips or pops off. Ask me how many garters I’ve sewn back together in a pinch! This kit comes with safety pins and spare buttons, which you totally need.
  • Granola bars and water (with a straw! OMG, how cute are these?!) – stay energized and hydrated.
  • Nail polish and lipstick in the colors you’ll be wearing! For emergency touch-ups
  • Phone charger – So you’re all juiced up for the ‘gram
  • AND, check out this “Oh Shit Kit” – which is worth the click for the name alone, folks.
Stuff you didn’t think you’d need, but could save your life:
  • Heel Stoppers – If you’re going to be on grass at all on your wedding day, these are essential for keeping you from sinking. And even if you’re not going to be on grass, these provide a little extra extra balance. For when the booze starts flowing, you know.
  • Tide stick – Stain remover on the go,’cuz stains happen.
  • Bug spray – We live in Louisiana. If you’re having a sunset ceremony and you will be outdoors at any point, go with me on this one.
  • Chapstick- Nerves = dry lips
  • Lint roller
  • Clear nail polish – Stop a chip from getting worse
  • Clear umbrella – Rain happens, even on the best-planned of days
  • Baby powder – absorb oil, control sweat, and just say no to chafing
  • First aid kit – your wedding party may need it, even if you don’t!
  • Super glue – If a heel breaks, no worries!
  • White chalk – Handy tip alert! If you can’t get a stain out of your dress, chalk it. You’re welcome.
  • Dancing shoes – cute shoes to change into at your reception so that you can TEAR that dance floor up!
  • Tylenol – YOU KNOW
  • Button-down shirt – The LAST thing you want to do is mess up that hair and makeup getting your shirt off to don your dress!
  • Blister Blocker – So good, this stuff!
  • Mints
  • Double-stick tape / body glue – to keep those garters up and those necklines laying flat!
  • Travel steamer
  • Manicure kit
  • Perfume
