I adore a good lifestyle newborn photography session. And the cherry on the top for this session was the people in it! I was lucky enough to meet these guys a while back, when I photographed their engagement session. It always makes me so happy when clients ask me to photograph more of their lives as their families grow! So, when Lauren asked me to photograph little Lily’s lifestyle newborn images, I was all over it. ‘Cuz I love these guys to itty bitty pieces!
Annnnnnnd – I’m never one to turn down baby snuggles, me.
We met at their GORGEOUS home in St. Gabriel to kick off our session. As you can see in their engagement session blog post, they were in the middle of renovating their home back then, so it was extra cool to be able to see what they’d done with it since! Ed is a CRAZY talented home-flipper, and Lauren has more decorating talent in her little finger than I’ll ever have in my whole body. Little Lily’s nursery was so sweet, and the whole home was just perfect. It made for an amazing space to photograph these newborn images in! And not gonna lie – my heart melted a little bit when Lauren wanted to incorporate their sweet dog in a few images. <3
Lifestyle newborn photography is a great way to get newborn images in a really relaxed, natural environment. You can incorporate baby’s nursery, and get some great images for your baby to look back on and see what life was like during this stage in your life. This is what newborn life is like, y’all! I mean, that room is gonna be a WRECK in a few years, with toys being tossed all over the place, so – let’s photograph it while it’s nice and pretty and neat, right?!
