Being a New Orleans wedding photographer comes with a lot of perks. One of those is being able to photograph weddings at Latrobe’s on Royal! It’s one of my very favorite venues in NOLA. AND, when I have a spectacular couple like these two…well, I’m a lucky girl to have the job that I do. <3 This night was so perfect – the team at Latrobe’s had every little detail attended to, and the whole night went flawlessly! Special shout-out to The Vermillionaires, who kept that reception party ROCKING! I don’t think I’ve seen people dance so hard in my LIFE!
Nicole and George are the absolute perfect mix of kindness, emotion and hilarity. They really understood the value of story-based photography for their wedding day, and that makes me so happy!
When you just relax and enjoy your day–while trusting your photographer–it makes your wedding day so much more fun.
NO forced smiles. NO awkward poses. NO being pulled away from those most important to you to fulfill expectations of what wedding photography “should” look like.
When you invest in story-based, truly photojournalistic wedding photography, the only thing you “have” to do on your wedding day is enjoy it. You make memories instead of checking things off of lists. You have time to really soak in the emotion of your day, instead of hurrying from one thing to the next.
And, in the case of these guys in particular…when all is said and done, you have allllll kinds of blackmail material on your friends for later use. 😉
It’s your wedding day, no one else’s.
Breathe it in. Laugh until you have to re-do your mascara. Take that extra minute to hug your mom when emotion gets the best of you both. Have a(nother) drink, and dance your second line however the hell you want.
These opportunities for memories only come around once. Make the most of them!
I LOVED working with this crew for many reasons. Nicole and George were wonderful, kind, fun and funny. They were wild, and uninhibited, and totally head over heels for one another.
