Quinceanera Photography in New Orleans | Giselle at Crystal Events
I feel so fortunate to have been able to be a part of this fiesta de quinceañera with this sweet girl and her family!
If you’re not familiar with what a quinceañera is… it’s a big party thrown for a young girl who is turning 15. This is the age a girl becomes a young woman, in Hispanic tradition. And the party is a celebration of this big time in her life!
The quinceañera (young woman) has her tennis shoes exchanged for a pair of heels by her parent, in order to symbolize this change. Then the dancing begins! I love that Giselle had her mom exchange her shoes, and danced a beautiful (and emotional!) first dance with her. All of her “court” was there with Giselle to dance two elegant dances after the tears had subsided.
I’ma tell you right now… this chick right here needs to take some dance lessons. 😂 Between the choreographed dances, and all of the friends and family tearing up the dance floor… I have work to do, haha!
Everything about this quinceañera was gorgeous. Check out that cake, and those treats! BB Sweet Treats did such a great job with them.
And of COURSE, you guys know I lost my MIND when I saw the gorgeous chandelier at this venue! Quinceañera photography just doesn’t get better than this, folks. A beautiful girl, a beautiful dress… AND tears between her and her mom?
Sign. Me. Up.
Check out some of my favorite images from this day. HUGE thanks to the vendors who made it happen, as well as the sweet family who trusted me with this big moment in Giselle’s life! I felt like family the whole night long. It was magical.
Can we do it again? 🙌
Um….how cool is this cake table?! 🤯
Giselle decided to honor her grandfather by dancing with a photo of him. ♥
Las Mañanitas is a special song traditionally sung to the birthday girl – and is rich with history! Also…some pretty hilarious Youtube videos of surprise serenades going really, really wrong. 😂 Good thing this one was perfect! 🙌
Choreographed dances with the court = 🔥
