New Orleans Proposal Photography | Phantom of the Opera with Katie and Ryan
How cool is this themed, surprise proposal in NOLA?! Ryan surprised Katie with a completely orchestrated (see what I did there?) shocker, when he popped the question. He knew she loved Phantom of the Opera. So the folks at The Heart Bandits made all the arrangements to set the perfect stage for this big moment.
Ryan made reservations at Bayona Restaurant – a beautiful little spot in the heart of the French Quarter. Soon after their arrival, the string quartet began playing. I love the look on Katie’s face as she realized they were playing her favorite song from Phantom of the Opera! Even then, she had no clue what was coming. She was just convinced that it was an amazing, happy coincidence! The singers’ rendition of “All I Ask of You”
AND THEN, when the song ended, the singer announced, “Katie, Ryan has something to ask of you.” THAT’s when she knew, and immediately started crying!
And–you know me, folks–I love me a good cry. ♥
Katie’s faces were everything, as Ryan went down on one knee, on those cobblestones in the French Quarter. What an amazing memory! Fellow restaurant-goers applauded and celebrated the milestone with them, and the band was wonderful and happy to pose for commemorative photos with the couple.
And these two were SO COOL, we hung out to chat and get some posed images to mark the occasion, afterwards.
NOLA is SUCH a beautiful city – celebrating a great romance in the heart of it is always so much fun. It feels like the whole community is celebrating right along with you. ♥
