LSU Club at Union Square | Baton Rouge Wedding Photographer
Mannnn, what a wild ride it’s been, for Morgan and James! I feel like if there were awards given out for most-flexibility-in-wedding-planning skills, this fam would 100% take home gold. The pandemic meant not one, but TWO wedding date reschedules for them. Although they technically tied the knot in this sweet, intimate Christmas Eve elopement last year, they really wanted to be able to celebrate with all of their friends and family. So, this year they *brought the party*! WITH KILTS! π
If you know me, you know that I’m a huge fan of making your wedding day unique toΒ you, rather than just following trends for the sake of it. What is a wedding day, after all, if it’s not a celebration of your commitment and your love for one another?
You only do it once (I mean, technically twice in this case, but still) – so make itΒ yours!
Naturally, these guys did not disappoint. This day was ALL theirs, down to every last detail. Their ceremony was held at The Episcopal Chapel in Baton Rouge, and their reception was at The Club at LSU Union Square.
This reception definitely had some of the most unique sights (see: kilts), and food (MACARONI BAR FTW!) of my career. I loved everything about this day, and couldn’t wait to show these two and their crew off!
Here are a few of my very favorite images from this amazing day. β₯
This is what I mean when I say that “getting ready” photos aren’t about the makeup and hair. It’s all about documenting the emotion and fun surrounding you!
Okay, fine – sometimes we have fun with the hair and makeup photos too. π
I feel like it’d just have been a disgraced to James’ Scots ancestry to NOT drink on his wedding day. (Thanks for taking one for the team, James).
I love that Morgan had her very own tartan sash to wear on her wedding day. Details like these are what all tie in together to make really significant memories in your life.
These photos cracked me up – everyone (including the priest) pre-gaming with football, before the ceremony.
“Why I love Morgan” in two photos π
Scottish bagpipes piping the couple down the aisle? YES PLEASE.
Ever seen the money dance done in a kilt? Me neither, but I am HERE FOR IT!
So, James had an astronomy-themed wedding cake. As you do. π€© These cakes by Clark’s Cakes and Confections were PERF. Flowers by
Um, how cool is THIS as a guest sign-in book?!
James was real excited about that knife. π
Funfetti wedding cake! Just when I thought the food couldn’t get any better, man.
